Q&A with J. Howard Van Boerum, VBFA
After more than 34 years as the leader of one of the most prominent and successful mechanical engineering firms in Utah, J. Howard Van Boerum stepped down as president of Salt Lake City-based Van Boerum & Frank Associates last June. Van Boerum, 69, continues to work a full-time schedule as a "regular engineer", and still enjoys working each day on what he calls "exciting" and "challenging" projects.

A High School for Tomorrow
Syracuse High
When a project starts in 2004 with an end date three years down the road, there is a lot of anticipation that builds along with the structure itself. The new high school in Syracuse, Utah is that project. When it broke ground on April 1, 2004, the completion date for the Davis County School District high school project was set for April 1, 2007.
