This Class A 22-story office tower in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City will consist of 450,000 sq ft in the main building, along with a 337,000 sq ft parking structure. This will be a state-of-the-art building with seismic engineering, energy conservation, redundant power, and fully-automated building systems. The building will be clad in a high-transparency, low-reflective exterior glazing. The project site design includes a pocket park /pedestrian corridor which connects to the mid-block alley, the American Towers Plaza and the proposed parking structure. Granite sets, granite pavers and concrete paving were combined to create a pleasant paving pattern in the ground plane.
The tower’s double-height entry lobby, nine foot ceilings and continuous window lines will be highlighted by high-end interior arterials. The building’s design and adjoining retail space will add to the historic and revitalized Main Street corridor of downtown Salt Lake City. This project is aiming for a LEED Silver rating. The building is divided into three massing elements that consist of the podium, east facade, and west facade. Each element is differentiated by assorted cladding in curtain wall systems, architectural precast, and stone. The top of the tower includes a glass structure that acts as a lantern, indirect by day and lighted at night. The tower’s double-height entry lobby, 9-ft ceilings and continuous window lines will be highlighted by high-end interior materials.
