This new 198,000-sq-ft, state-of-the-art office building in Sandy, Utah is six-stories high, with a unique structural steel design that incorporates Sideplate technology designed to withstand a major seismic event. The exterior will include a polished granite, glass and aluminum skin. A multi-level parking garage with 495 stalls is being built next to the building.
Energy efficient design is a hallmark of this project and it will aim for at least LEED Silver certification. Energy-efficient lighting systems are projected to save more than 25% in energy use. Pervious concrete will allow melted snow and rainwater to flow to groundwater sources without piping or catch basins. The project is scheduled for completion July 2010.
