Construction on this massive wind farm project in Beaver County, Utah began in earnest in March 2009. RMT of Madison, Wisc., is erecting 97 total wind turbines – 58 Clipper and 39 General Electric – in addition to constructing an 88-mile transmission line that will connect to the Intermountain Power Plant in Delta, Utah. The farm is expected to generate 203.5 MW of electricity and has a 20-year purchase agreement with So. California Public Power Authority in place. Beaver County building inspector Craig Davis estimated the project cost around $480 million. The project is slated to finish by the end of 2009.
