This 260,000-sq-ft project in Tooele, Utah is a modified repeat of the Salem Hills High School design originally built for the Nebo School District. The design opens the upper floor to the lower level with bridges meandering gracefully through the commons spaces creating a sophisticated spatial synergy felt by students and teachers as they move though the space. Windows and clear stories used throughout the building remind the user of this learning communities place in the world. The Technical Education Center provides a multi-use lecture space that can be used by several classes at one time for collaboration or guest lecture. The school will open in August 2009.
