H&E Appointed Komatsu Dealer in Utah, Nevada and So. Cal

TID held an open house celebration February 7 at its new office in Salt Lake.

Baton Rouge, LA ¾ H&E Equipment Services, Inc. (H&E) has been appointed as an authorized Komatsu Utility Dealer for the entire state of Utah, Nevada and Southern California. Of their 62 locations nationwide, H&E has nine full-service locations throughout Utah, Nevada and Southern California in this service territory, and is evaluating opportunities to add facilities in the future.

Komatsu Utility was established in 1997 to focus exclusively on sales of compact construction equipment, referred to as Utility equipment. Komatsu Utility offers a full line of compact equipment including compact excavators, skid steer loaders, compact track loaders, backhoe loaders, dozers, compact wheel loaders and crawler carriers, distributed on a worldwide level. Ideally suited for close-quarter construction applications, Komatsu compact products also offer a full range of solutions for landscape, utility, plumbing and nursery markets.

H&E has decades of experience in the earthmoving business. They are recognized for having one of the largest Komatsu rental fleets in North America and are among the top Komatsu dealerships in new equipment sales. As a full-service Utility dealer, H&E will provide new and used sales, rentals, service, parts and warranty to support the Komatsu Utility products.

Ciralight Hires Regional Manager

Tom Jackse has joined Ciralight, a manufacturer of high- performance daylighting systems headquartered in Park City, as regional manager of the company's Southern California office here. He is marketing its products to the manufacturing and industrial communities in Southern California seeking to "go green."

"Tom brings two decades of business-to-business, vertical retail sales experience to Ciralight," said Earl Houston, vice president of Sales and Marketing for Ciralight. "Also, his experience as a district manager will be invaluable as he assumes responsibility of the Bakersfield to San Diego region."

Jackse is responsible for introducing Southern California businesses to daylighting and its many benefits. He is promoting, selling and managing a new Ciralight retail program that offers complete solutions, rather than individual sales.

He has held numerous sales positions, including: western sales manager, sales and marketing manager, district sales manager and owner/partner with office supplies businesses. Jackse had improved sales for companies such as Basicnet, Inc., Del Mar Office Products, Office Depot and SIGNworld before accepting the regional sales manager position with Ciralight.

Spectrum Earns Awards

Spectrum Engineers of Salt Lake City took home several awards in the final months of 2007. Recognition for the firm’s engineering, design and marketing/communications excellence include:

• 2008 American Council of Engineering Companies Engineering Excellence Grand Award Intermountain Medical Center, Murray, UT (Spectrum Engineers performed electrical and acoustical engineering and technology systems design.) Merit Award for Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Salt Lake Community College Health Sciences Center, West Jordan, UT (Spectrum designed the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, lighting, educational technology, audio/video, voice and data communications systems.)


• 2007 Society for Marketing Professional Services of Utah Marketing Communications Award, First Place Overall Campaign for Spectrum’s 25th Anniversary Campaign.

Mountain States Fence Honored

Mountain States Fence, a provider of industrial and commercial fencing for the Intermountain region and headquartered in Salt Lake City, has won the Outstanding Jerith Dealer Award for 2007. There are over 1,500 Jerith Dealers nationwide and only 63 of them received an Outstanding Jerith Dealer Award.
