RMH Group Begins Work for USU
The RMH Group is proud to announce the firm has recently
begun work on a $13.2 million chilled water and cogeneration
expansion project for Utah State University in Logan.
RMH's role on the design-build team, which is led by Jacobsen
Construction Company of Salt Lake City, entails mechanical
and electrical engineering, including cogeneration with the
assistance of Thomas Engineering Company of Bountiful, Utah.
These new systems serve as an addition to the campus' new
central heating plant and utility tunnel system. The ultimate
buildout of the plant will serve about 3.5 million sq. ft.
of building space on a 20,000 student, 400-acre campus.
On-site electricity production by a 4.3 MW cogeneration system
and central chilling are being added to achieve long-term

The design addresses distribution and initial connection to
seven buildings and provisions for ultimate chiller capacity
of 5,000 tons and distribution to 23 buildings.
